ALTA Tax Relief was founded by Robert J. Kavaliauskas, EA, CTRS, a former IRS Revenue Officer and Revenue Agent with a rare, firsthand understanding of federal tax enforcement.
Robert originally hails from Connecticut and earned his business degree with a major in accounting from Western Connecticut State University. After graduation, he relocated to Missouri to begin his career with the Internal Revenue Service.
Over the course of eight years with the IRS, Robert worked directly on more than 1,000 tax cases, handling both enforcement actions and taxpayer representation matters. This experience gives him a unique, insider perspective on how the IRS evaluates cases, applies pressure, and, most importantly, where opportunities exist for resolution.
